"How to get the OSTI ID Number" instructions

Please find below the new Journal Article Submittal Form for your authors to use:

Prepare your manuscript

  • Ensure it is in the required format (usually PDF)
  • Verify that all figures, tables, and references are included and formatted correctly

Complete all mandatory fields

  • Title of manuscript
  • Author names and affiliations
  • ORCID iD and SUNet ID Connection
  • Abstract/summary
  • DOI (if applicable)
  • Keywords (if required)
  • Any other required metadata

Attach the PDF file

  • Double-check that the correct document is selected

Submit the Manuscript

  • Click the submission button
  • Ensure confirmation of submission appears on screen
  • Please complete all required fields before attaching your manuscript for submission

Wait for Submission Reporting

  •  Allow up to 24 hours for DOE/OSTI to process the submission

Check Confirmation Email

  • A confirmation email will be forwarded to you. Kindly review it once received
